We have not as yet set a sale price on this pen, as we believe the steel first generation lockdown filler to be quite rare. If you have an opinion, or indeed would like to make an offer on this beautiful Parker Vacumatic, please contact admin@hepworthdixon.com.

Pelikan 100 N and 400 NN

Our new website to showcase and provide the opportunity to directly purchase fully restored vintage pens, is almost complete. In the meantime our blogspot continues to be the starting point for information on what's to come. Our last post featured a two German made classic Montblanc Meisterstuck 140's. We now move the spotlight to another German pen manufacturer Pelikan.

Pelikan 100 N

During the war years the Pelikan company continued to produce the 1938 remodelled 100 N. Pen shown right is an early 1940's 100 N piston filler with green marbled barrel, also having a rare nib. The nib is marked with the Pelikan trade mark symbol. It is a 14ct (585) gold in DM size. D nibs were specially made for manifold pens. They are extremly hard and none flexible. These special nibs are not often found.  This recently restored 100 N has an exceptionally clear green ink view window.

Pelikan 400 NN

Pen shown left is a 1957 Pelikan 400 NN piston filler. Around this time Pelikan had decided to again remodel it's range. Barrels were lengthened slightly, the turning knob became more conical. To signify this model change a second 'N' suffix was added. This recently restored 400 NN has green striated barrel, black cap and turning knob with gold filled trim. Nib Pelikan 585 14 ct gold, flexible medium.
